I was going through an article that was published in todays newspaper. It was talking about “Right to Information Act (2005)”. The right and the rules related to it seem to be interesting.
The article was talking about how one can now apply the “act” to their own colleges and know what ever he/she wants to know. Be it their attendance, be it the reasons for making Mr. So’n'So the principle of the college.
How is this interesting? Well, sadly (not actually sadly, but for saying sake) I have passed out of my college. It would have been a great thing to apply this rule to our college. There are a lot of things that could have been questioned if it were so. Eg. How did one of the profs. decide that gj(46)(my batch guy) was copying, when the answer sheets didnt match and in-fact his answer was wrong? The professor had simply said “This is a case of *wrong copying*”.
It would also be an interesting thing to know as to why we needed another caretaker for OBH, when the only thing the new (balgangadhar?) does is sit in his room and sleep all day/chat on Yahoo?
So, what say? Wont it be fun? Esp. when the rules says that you dont have state the reason for asking for the “information”. (or at least thats how I interpreted it, its here ).
Other news…
