A walk to remember ..

By Playboi

There is a popular saying

“You can gain more knowledge by walking 100 steps than by reading 1000 pages of text.” (or at least something like this).

I had a chance to walk through a park (if u could call it one). It had long and unmanaged grass. One has to properly push off the grass with his/her leg to be able to see the ground below. The area was, as it seems, a popular place where some of the “anpadh” people would empty there pockets or would dump there booze bottles. I hope you get the picture.

One would say that it was a “not a place worth walking”. I beg to differ. I was so happy to see all that (not that i love garbage, but .. read on).

I could see a broken bottle of Kingfisher probably from some drunkard. Made me remember the good old times when we used to booze and throw the bottle in the jungle area in the campus. (Oh!, yeah we used to booze in college). It was so much fun to do that and to hear the whoosh sound that the bottle made while taking its first and probably last “leap” through the open sky.

I could see a Fosters Pint. Though I never used hide from my parents and drink, but yeah, I knew ppl who used to do that. Made me remember my good ol school days. Thanks to orkut I am still in contact with some of them.

Then, I could see a pack of matchbox. It was empty though, and pretty soiled too. So, picking it up to check for the contents wasnt such a good idea. Anyway, the matchbox reminded me of many things. From the Tall-Fat guys habbit of lighting all the matches in the box for no reason at all to the macheees (one of my junior at college) . I had a smile on my face again…..

There was a sticker. You know, sort of a label that we used to stick on the notebook and book covers at school. It had Jerry on it. I had a good collection of such stickers. From cartoon characters to plants to bikes, I had everything. (ok, mine and my brothers combined)

There was a shoe, an empty packet of chips, plastic chippings, polyethene bags and what not. I guess the population explosion has really effected India a lot. It was very much visible there on the ground.

Other news?

Office work going fine. I have finally started working.

Everything fine at the flat and with the flat mates.

PS: stop asking who I am. If you like what I write, tell me. If you hate it, tell me.
